hmmmmm, interesting.  I can honestly say that I had never noticed those.  I do not recall anyone else ever mentioning these likenesses.  More ammo for me and my longtime belief that these P's - V's are somehow linked.  Thanks for pointing these out.

a different observation... In "relatively" recent posts I've seen 3 occurances of elite social clubs.... Can we find any similarity between the other locations? Was there a clue connected with the Athenaeum in Boston? Cormac They say the memory is the first thing to go.. I don't remember what the second thing was...

Cormac, Back on the Image 11 thread, I had followed BP through the walking tour of Boston past the Athaeneum... the doors of which I thought looked  similar to the squares on the leather stole worn by the figure in Image 11. AP

I'm thinking Preservation Hall would be the one in New Orleans. Though not an elite club, it is a famous cultural social gathering place. So... now with 4 and possibly 5 places... Is there any information out there such as a biography that might have BP frequenting these types of locations? Or any more locations in the hunt that we might link a plase such as these to a V or I ? At either of the "found" locations?

Shecrab, I like the Athaeneum, too. There would be no need to be allowed inside if the visual clues are supposed to be evident from the street. (BP may have had connections to be allowed inside )

It's those connections I'm wondering about, since I can find no real biographic information on BP Just thinking outside the book. He's picked some very nice places to visit. Was he the elitist or decadent type? Would he be the type that would want to share a favorite or familiar spot?

Cormac, I tend to think that BP went to larger publisher-related cities, (unlike Michael Stadther who went to some fairly small hamlets to hide his tokens in the Treasure's Trove ). His associations would have been more elite. Did those associations take him nearer to "men's clubs"? Probably. Did it mean that he hid casques nearer to "men's clubs" ? It may be a matter of helping to focus on certain areas in known casque cities..(In Milwaukee, there are many posh buildings near the lakefront...But exclusive men's clubs??) Keep searching that line-of thought. AP

BP was a fan and collaborator of National Lampoon.  While that is a Harvard led institution I would not say it was elitist.  He certainly was well read, and from the upper crust. Some of his refernces are amazing and we all know that there's a lot of book reading involved. Saying all that, the Houston zoo area in 1982 was nothing but dirt and fields.  The area was growing and the museums were being built, but there were no "clubs" in the area.  From what he's said, he roamed the country with a backpack and a shovel and a bunch of plexiglass boxes... when he wasn't being bugged about the Secret, he was friendly and talkative and liked to discuss the books he was publishing, of which I have quite a few. just observing. wilhouse
