Members express excitement about the TV appearance, discuss the heroic pilot Chesley Sullenberger, and suggest organizing a group search for treasures. Holiday greetings are exchanged, and there is a call to support the webmaster financially, with members pledging donations and extending holiday wishes to each other. Discussions also touch on treasure hunting for jewelry boxes in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, personal stories, Christmas greetings, stories related to treasure hunts in different towns, donations for a cause, brain training games, New Year's resolutions, concerns about hacking attempts on user accounts, and reflections on the negative impact of the hunt's monetary component on user interactions. This led to exclusivity and increased private messaging among users.

Just thought that this article was interesting. It is funny how 3 of our locations made the list of 15...
4 - Boston
5 - Outer Banks NC

If you are bored with nothing to do on Sunday night, check out the pilot for a new CW show called
Easy Money
. I believe the pilot episode includes a boy's {Tyler} birthday party. Tyler is played by none other than my son. He didn't get a lot of screen time but there are a couple of real close ups. He can't wait to see himself on TV...
slappybuns
That's so exciting for him! If we miss it, please post a recording somewhere for us to see, ok?
boogieman
Wow! Congradulations Chase!
In your next episode, can you hold up a copy of image12 and verse10?
fox
Well darn it...he wasn't in the pilot.
Guess we will just have to wait until next week. My wife was cut from the bookstore scene she did. She was standing behind the last guy in line waiting to buy their books. hehehehe...
fox
Yahoo!!!
Our son was on 'Easy Money' last night. Soooooo cool. I will be working late into the night tonight but I will see if my wife can find a clip online to post here.

Here is the link to the episode of Easy Money my son was in.

The birthday scene is near the end of the episode and he is Tyler, the birthday boy wearing the gold crown.

wonderful, amazing story up there on your side of the country boogieman! are u part of it?

The plane landing in the Hudson River is truly one of the best stories to hit our area in a while. Not one death.
A few months after 9/11 a plane fell from the sky landed on houses and killed people on the ground and everyone on board. This pilot saved countless lives. I wish I had been there but I watched it unfold on TV.

Cpt Sully is indeed a HERO! That was an amazing piece of flying. I am really surprised however, that with alllllll of the tourists around NYC all of the time, no one caught the actual landing on tape. I'm sure it is out there somewhere.
Cpt. Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger, III

Well there you have it...thanks Boogie. I'm sure as time goes by, more and more videos will surface. Sully sure brought that thing down straight and almost perfect.

Might I suggest: we pick a warm month {ie..July or August...oooh, that sounds like V11
}, pick one of the sites that we feel very comfortable with our solve and meet there en masse
and spend an entire weekend or so scouring the site and digging up one of these things.

here's to hoping everyone has someone to love and someone that loves them
Happy Valentine's Day!

The forums were down for a while this week.
It reminded me that webmaster Mark Perry,
may need our financial support at this time to continue hosting the Q4T.
Even a small amount will help, I am sure.
If you are using Paypal...his email address (if it has not changed) was:

Merry Christmas, cw0909!
That sounds like a great promotional idea !
Too bad it is hundreds of miles away from
Milwaukee...and in the middle of Winter.
Thanks for sharing the story. I had not
heard about it.
There will be some happy people this season.

This is the town my first husband now lives in. He skipped out on us, abandoned me and his child and never paid a dime in child support.
I can't really say I'll wish he finds one.
fox
Nice story cw... Funny thing, a tiny little town some 60 or so miles from Albuquerque, called Socorro, did the same thing.

I found this really cool website that I thought I would share with you.
www.lumosity.com
It is a bunch of brain training games put together by cognitive researchers at Stanford and UCSF among other places so your scores might end up as a data point on some scientists next research paper but so what it is fun.

My new year's resolution:
Locate a casque
.
slappybuns
let's do!
are you going on a hunt forest?? are you concentrating on a certain one??
forest_blight
No, I just felt a surge of enthusiasm for the hunt. Probably it will come to nothing, as with most new year's resolutions.

To all of you "Secret" treasure hunters...
Merry Christmas...and may the New Year be
very "revealing"...as far as this hunt is concerned!

FYI, someone apparently tried to hack into my Q4T account. When I went to log in, it asked me for my password and a security question, since I had apparently reached the maximum number of attempted log-ins. So, if you have an easy password, I suggest you change it.
Not sure what the hacker was hoping to accomplish - I do not have the solutions hidden in my account!
Were you just going to post something inflammatory in my name? Oh well.
This has been a public service announcement. Carry on.

I worry that the re-"finding" of the monetary component to this hunt has really brought out the worst in people. Unfortunately, it's driven lots of people to start working via PM, which sucks and turns this place into an exclusive club.
