Additionally, the thread included introductions from users with unique interests like treasure hunting and puzzle-solving, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support among members.

Unless it's too personal, I wanted to start a 'getting to know all about you' thread, similar to the Introductions. The question is: Why did you pick your screen name? Mine is a Vietnamese version of a character from my favorite TV show, which I used as a call sign sometimes while deployed. It's supposed to sound close to "cup-like body." 'Typler' is a hailarious way my name was once mispelt on an official record. If I may ask, where does the name forest blight stem from? Are you saying that you yourself are a gypsy moth? Or have you contracted Dutch Elm Disease? (This is another joke, by the way, but I am curious)... Did you just pick something that no one else had, or is it a favorite for you in some way? If it is a take on your real name, you need not explain, unless you feel comfortable doing so.
Trohn
I've been called Tron for over thirty years now (it rhymes with my real name - John)
I had it before Disney usurped it for a pretty good movie.
It is misspelled on here for other reasons ( lol )
shseverin11
In the old BBS days, my screen name was Green Eyed Chick. But now, my screen name is a meaningless one that was assigned to me when I worked at AOL. I don't like it but I'm too lazy to change it.

slappybuns
ummmmm
someone else gave me this name.......they had signed me into another site and used this nick..........they thought it was really funny
i did too, so i kept it, lol
boogieman
I got Boogieman out of "The Secret". Before I found this forum, I thought I was onto something with the critter. But alas, I left my book in N.C. almost 2 years ago and I don't remember what I was thinking back in 04'. For some reason, my sister has given new meaning to "procrastination". My kids started calling me booger so I had to ground them to get them to stop. What would the neighbors think?
shecrab
I'm the She Crab--female, born in July, Cancer the Crab. Easy one, though probably more people think it has to do with my sometimes irascible nature. Had this one on a license plate too for a while, but vanity plates in our state are really expensive, so I discontinued it.
bclews
I guess I have no imagination. Mine is my name.
Kuh-Lai-Bah-Ti
What about the soup?
regulus
I got my name, Regulus, from an old video game I used to play as a kid... Bomberman 64 (not as violent as it sounds, it was rated E for everyone). many of the characters names were named after constellations, I just really liked the name Regulus, so I kinda use it a lot. I pronounce it differently though... Reh-ja-lus

My friends call me a joke also!!
(What are friends for
)
meowWPI
I am 'meow', which used to be 'meowWPI' which was short joke because "Cat" for "Catherine" is usually just about the first name taken on a forum. And "WPI" is the college I graduated from and still live near.
erexere
My handle is just to a way of saying "Eric's here" in a palindrome. It is often confused with "ear aches here". Please just call me Eric.
shecrab
Thank goodness I can call you something I can spell!!
Shrek
I look like my alter ego, bald/shaven, slightly rotund, although not coloured green or having trumpets for ears
Hirudiniforme
Hey all!
My name is the address I had when I started my treasure hunting with ATT... back in college in Wilmington, NC. You don't wanna know how close Suelough and I were to solving the butterfly puzzle.
I'm just south of Raleigh now, but make trips to the beach often (including the Outer Banks :))
I like to roll a doob and work on this stuff. It's great for the imagination and mental-challenge-solving cells, but bad for the social skills, so I tend to lurk a lot. Sorry for that. I'll post my "finds" and thoughts more if you'd like.
P.S.> I will find one of these darn things... well,
WE
will
! Lets do this!
