Not sure why this matters. If people are posting to this forum, then it's "in the wild" as they say. One point though, if someone wants to try and grab the domain name, it's coming up for renewal at the end of the month.

I didn't have anything to do with having it removed.

Though I don't see what the problem is. I bought the domain, not john, no matter what he said. It's pretty obvious that I bought it. The domain is parked at the moment. Renner hasn't reached out to me about it. Feels like we are just beating a dead horse here.

I'd prefer that you take it down. At some point it becomes a problem for legal with the production company who is financing the documentary.

John told me James asked that we not host the podcast there anymore, so out of respect I moved the podcast and took down the majority of the site (all thats there now is a contact page) This ends my involvement with this. John has a private facebook group, where a few of the people who have been on this boards for a long time get together to share ideas and bullshit with one another. 421 was a member once and left, This was before I became a member, then also left. They had issues. I'm not sure what those issues were, I'm not sure who started them. I haven't asked either of them. but they are not happy with one another. 421 took the images from the website (which I can't fault him for) and is saying he will release them publicly (which I also can't fault him for) Recently, I have started to figure out what some of the issues between the two may be... and I am understanding this conflict more. Which is why im not really taking a side, and trying to be as transparent as possible. I would ask 241 to consider the feelings of the people who are not involved, who may not want their information out there without context. The goal of this site (at least... on my end) was to provide a place where people could share their ideas from start to finish easily, it involved a lot of trust, and I don't think it's fair to violate the trust of uninvolved third parties, just because our trust was violated.

Sounds like there are a lot of sides to the matter and it's stupid. People with issues should take it to Maury Povich. The focus for this hunt is clear. Find a box.

Thanks for the back story. I said when I got into this, in earnest, that it's a conundrum because whenever you have treasure or money or fame involved, it leads to distrust. While I am hoping that people are trying to be altruistic, I am realistic that there may be mud slinging and ulterior motives involved. This goes for egos too. In many ways, I care more about solving the puzzles and learning some history along the way. Would I like to pull a casque out of the ground? Yes! But in reality, I can't see investing in traveling all over North America hoping that they still exist. In this spirit, I have posted some new possible solutions to Boston and NYC, hoping that a like minded individual will go and dig up the treasure so it has been solved.
