Hello Everyone! I'm new to this site, and to The Secret itself.  I found out about the book and the hunt yesterday after reading The Article about Egbert in the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Sunday Magazine.  I've been searching the board for the better part of the day now and I'm fascinated.  I have a question about the Chicago picture.  Maybe I missed someone's post regarding it, but is it me or does the face of the gnome or elf or whatever that thing is look strikingly like Abraham Lincoln at least in the nose and moles referring to Illinois the Land of Lincoln and the statue itself that the verse referrs to?  Also if you look at the structure of the things eyes and eyebrow he resembles President Ulysses S. Grant to refer to Grant Park.  Just an observation sorry if someone already stated that. not a bad connection.  i guess i can see that.  but the Bowman is the all black statue in the picture.  its at the entrance to grant park, right across the street from the Congress Hotel.  theres actually two of them facing eachother.  but good call on the lincoln, he definately was not an attractive guy.

Another thread on the board has an explanation and pictures of the Chicago site.  It is near the Lincoln statue in the park. Welcome to the hunt!  I hope the Cleveland article inspires more and more hunters. --Johann

There is a corps group of regulars that will probably work on this thing until the day they die...myself included.  It is really cool having new eyes join in on this hunt due to Sir Egg's article. I never really noticed the Abe similarity but I like it.  Since you are so good with faces, see if you can identify any of the others.  lol  Welcome to the madness cadet

New question.  What does that "2" in the middle part o the neck collar signify?  Its very clearly a "2".  The wiki says the collar is an "88", and i see why someone would say that looking at the weave work, but the "2" is more distinct.  I was hoping I might spot a statehood number..."21" in this case.

The collar certainly looks suggestive of something, but I can't figure it out. "88" maybe? The relevant latitudes and longitudes are 41, 42, 87, and 88. There's a backwards "87" in the windmill's "southwest" blade, and possibly a backwards "41" in the folds of his neck skin. If you squint, you can see "42 41" backwards in the "southeast" blade. The windmill itself may be a clue for "windy city."

There is most definitely a 2 in the collar, but right next to it is the number 88. One of the latitude/longitude numbers. I think the 2 is a red herring, or possibly just coincidence. I don't see any state numbers in the Ohio painting (you would be looking for 17.) Or rather, I can see that number EVERYwhere. That doesn't count for much, when you can make a number appear just by tracing a bunch of lines everywhere. Ditto for your "Oregon" numbers in image 6--in fact, I can't think of any place further from the likely casque location for that image than Oregon, unless you would try to make it fit Alaska.

I considered that the triangle in image 4 could be symbolic for 17, but it seems a little overkill.

ok I'll bite, how would you get 17 out of a triangle?
