If you just are sick of a particular persons posts You can add them to your Friends/Foes - Foes list. People you add to your friends list have their posts highlighted so you notice them People you add to your foes list have their posts minimized... Sadly not gone. But hey its better than nothing.

This is good. Now I don't have to see 700 more posts by Josh or 2-3 post by Egbert over the next month.
