I think I can speak for the masses by asking for as detailed as you can remember...how you solved the Grant Park puzzle. Explain what each line of the V {oops, that is verse for the regulars around here} meant and everything you found in the P {picture}.
I'm sure we would all love to hear some of your theories on other P/V pairings that you arrived at so long ago.
Last but not least, we would love to hear what you think about our present theories. Chime in my friend... and help us unearth the remaining 10 casques. Let's finish this thing off in remembrance of Byron Preiss. Thank you BP for this adventure...it has meant a lot to many people.

Welcome to Q4T Shadowrunner, and thanks for coming over to these boards.
I believe you'll find that this is a friendly forum, and that all of the participants here have the common goal of breaking the remaining 10 puzzles.
Have a good time, and we'd be very interested in hearing all about the old Chicago story.

As one of the oldsters on the board, I also want to welcome you Shadowrunner. I've been hunting since I got this book in 1982, and obviously I'm not that good of a hunter. I had to move to Houston to be closer to a casque, since one wasn't near me in California when I lived there!! But per Preiss, there's one here, and we're homing in on it.
I'd be interested to know if you have any information on the Image 8 / Verse 1 threads. But really, it'd be nice to know what kind of information there was surrounding the hunt in the beginning, since you got to talk to Preiss when it was all new.

Shadowrunner--
My father, brother and I were close to the Chicago find long ago, but alas, we obviously did not find it. Oh well. We had the correct picture and the wrong verse.

hello Shadowrunner... over the weekend i came up with 4 questions to ask of you. they are as follows:1) did the section of the book known as the field guide have any significance to you? 2) did you do any ciphering of the capital letters in the verses? 3) could you describe in detail the casque (the other existing casque was damaged over the years, specifically under the cover)? 4) how did you match your picture for the correct area? thank you for your time, coming over after all these years to help us out!!!
