Hello,
I am new to this. I took a look at image 1 and a verse and believe I know exactly where the casque is buried in San Francisco. I am not in San Francisco and would like someone to test the spot (poke the ground). Thanks

know
exactly where the casque is buried but when I go there, It's not there..."

Thanks for the input. "If you have the casque in hand you know where it was" otherwise you don't. If someone could go to the San Francisco dig site and take photos I'm sure you'll see items in Image 1. Have a great day in the Park.

I already replied in PM that I am willing to go to his "site" and take pictures even do a live on youtube for him as if he's in the park.
I live on 32nd and only 3 blocks away from GGP.
If a casque if found , he doesn't have to give me any credits which I completely agreed.
So, we'll see

The trick is whether what you see today is what one would have seen back in the year of publication. At least one feature in the painting that I'm sure was there on a hillside twenty years ago had begun to morph ten years ago, and as of this year the erosion has taken its toll. I'm glad you have someone local willing to help get recon photos for you. The solution will still depend on creative interpretation of the verse, not just image matches.

You are very right that I am very very lucky that someone is there to take pictures of the sight and surroundings for me. I am eager to see them. I wish that I had heard of this quest many years ago. Happy hunting, Adam
