Key

Each of the twelve casques contains a ceramic key, designed (like the casques themselves) by JoEllen Trilling. As stated by the terms of the treasure hunt, each of these keys can be redeemed in exchange for the prize of a precious or semi-precious jewel. The jewels, which vary from puzzle to puzzle, are also featured in the treasure hunt paintings.

Like the casques, the keys are made of unfired clay, and identical in design while painted with a unique, distinctive color.
