The Secret Podcast
The Secret Podcast started in 2016 as a collaborative project between longtime members of Quest4Treasure.
Initially the group created a website to store image galleries consisting of all the research the group had saved over the course of 30 years, which quickly morphed into an online repository of all known information about the Secret, as well as a home for the audio version of the podcast.
History
Pre-Podcast
In 2016 longtime hunters George, JM, Fox, Wilhouse, TJ, Brian Zinn, Andy Abrams, and MaltedFalcon were discussing ways to combine all of their photos and site information in an easily digestible format for the general public. George created 12treasure,com, which in the beginning was simply a list of image galleries categorized by city. JM suggested a blog be created on the site to document old solutions, ideas, and digs. The team quickly switched to a podcast format. Wilhouse came up with the name "Shhh... The Secret Podcast".
Shhh... The Secret Podcast
The original idea behind the podcast was to create 12 individual episodes, one for each city, which packed all known information about that particular hunt into an audio record. The plan was to have one team member who was an expert on that specific city lay out all of their knowledge, and tell their stories for the community in a way which could be archived for all time. Once the original 12 city episodes were completed, JM left the podcast in order to focus on the tribute hunt.[1]
