So I’ve been reading through the new posts
and I see a bunch of new hunters (which is great!)
but a lot of the ideas they are putting out there are old re-hashes of ideas we researched and passed over.
I.e. the totem pole at Cliff house – or the Goddess of the Forest in Golden Gate park – with respect to the Giant Pole in verse 7.
The totem pole has been eliminated, by A) it has been moved twice, and B) The area around the Totem Pole was bulldozed, flat, a new sidewalk wall and street put in.
The Goddess of the forest (another totem pole) in GGpark has been thoroughly searched.
but when I did a cursory search of the forum I did not see all the messages about these searches.
Did we lose a bunch of history?

I noticed some of my image links dropped while I was reorganizing my photoalbums at photobucket. Most are probably useless. I’ll try to relink the important ones as I discover whats missing. First I need to get my avatar back.

This new format will take some getting used to. I have to log in every time, even though I check the “Log me on automatically each visit” box (every time).
Really, I’m just grateful the forum still exists after umpteen years. If it disappeared, that would be a disaster. Please consider contributing to the upkeep of Q4T c/o Mark Parry.
