The summary at the Wiki has a lot going for it. No-one would argue with the verses for images 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 or 11. Most people regard images 2 and 7 as settled by the
Abroad in America
quotations, and V10 is a good fit for image 12 NY. Many people also seem to like V7 for image 1 SF, which leaves V5 for image 9 Montreal, but those seem to have the least solid evidence.

Somewhere on the Forum there is an excellent New Orleans solve using Verse 7. Of all the discredited (IMO) solves out there, that one is still my favorite. Although I will admit that poster James V’s Charleston solve using Verse 5 is a pretty close second. And before anyone gets bent out of shape, let me just say that my definition of “reasonable” starts with the commonly accepted Verse/Image pairings that can be found (but clearly did not originate) on the Wiki.
Your mileage may vary.

Definitely my go-to ltofss.

If I recall, the Wiki previously had the ‘image to verse’ connections listed for most of them (I.e. “seek the columns”, “land near the window”).
This is an important starting point for any solve as stated in the book. It should not be overlooked in attempted solutions.

I think the excellent attempt at V7 in NOLA was by a user named kibitz.
