I know the first thing I see standing each morning, even though the last thing I did the night before was touch it. But this is a family forum, so…

Quick poll…
How many of you out there KNOW what “last touched or first seen standing” is, but haven’t said?
Has anybody dug it?

Besides Josh? Josh knows all.

Yes, besides Josh. Josh clearly states that it could be this or that or this or that.
B/c it has clearly not been posted on the board. You would KNOW if you knew, and it hasn’t been said.

That is a really tough line, isn’t it?
Best solution I’ve heard, while still far from perfect, is that there is a Croatoan tree in the play they put on, and it is longstanding tradition for all the actors to touch it before going on.

I vote yes.
My current belief is that the thing “last touched but first seen standing” is the mast of a sinking ship. People scramble up it as the boat goes down and are forced to let it go or drown. Once completely sunk, it is neither seen, nor touched.
Or it could be this:
